MMDH: 3 Quick Throw Pillow Tips
New pillow cover in town for this legit Spring weather! It’s actually been in this house for a few months, and this is the week it was deserving of an insert. The ol’ swap out of off-season pillow covers...
TIP 1: avoid poly-fill throw pillow inserts at all costs!
If the only option is to buy a pillow with a poly-fill insert, don’t buy the pillow...okay, if it is a removable cover that you are smitten with, buy the pillow, and toss the insert into a pillow fort as soon as you get it home.
Down or synthetic-down inserts are the only way to go for throw pillows. they can be re-fluffed forever, and they stay where you want them to... even on leather furniture, AND they are cozy to lay on!
I mean, the few dollar premium will make your sofa look at least 80 bucks more put together. No, seriously, a few thousand dollars more put together, at a minimum! I promise.
TIP 2: you know the pillow insert is good if you can give it a karate chop, and the chop stays recessed!
TIP 3: When ordering inserts, choose a size 2 inches LARGER than the pillow cover for a nice full look!
